Signs Of Life In 2025

Signs Of Life In 2025

A new year is rushing upon us and you might be wondering what we’re going to be focusing on as a church in 2025. The plan for next year (and up till Easter 2026) is to spend most of our mornings in John’s Gospel, in our series “Signs of Life.” John is one of my favourite gospels. It is full of Jesus, full of faith, and full of life! John is a compelling call to unbelievers to receive the life that is found in Jesus. It is also one of the best books that the church can use to share the life of Jesus with others.

If you’d like to whet your appetite for John, I’d suggest taking a look at JC Ryle’s Expository Thoughts on John’s Gospel, which is an absolute gem (online / book) and really accessible. You also might enjoy listening to the dulcet tones of David Suchet reading John, as you work on your holiday jigsaw!

And what else will we be dipping into in 2025?

  • A 4-part series on Joel (Jan/Feb)
  • A series on spiritual disciplines called “Hearts and Habits” (Feb-April)
  • Two short series in Jonah (all with Andy Hunter in March) and 2nd Peter (May)
  • A brief three-part series on ‘Doubt and Assurance’ (June)
  • A series on 2nd Timothy (September/October), and
  • A more theological series of studies on the Person of the Holy Spirit (November/December)

Please pray for the preaching team, for outside speakers, and most of all for all who will hear these messages, in person or online.
