This evening Scott Kirkland concludes the series on ‘Living with the end in mind’, which is based on Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonian church. Paul has heard that there are some members there who are idling, completely ignoring what Paul taught them by word and example about working honestly for their own support and not being a burden on others. Paul commands them to work for what they eat, and charges the church to discipline them, warning them gently as brothers, but firmly, that they won’t be supported in their laziness. What does that teach us today?
