In this fairly long section, ‘The Teacher’ interweaves the two threads of wisdom and folly.  In it Colin discovers that two broad conclusions are drawn.  These are that: Wisdom is powerful but disregarded, and Folly is destructive but common.  Following that, an example of wisdom, diligence and faith is portrayed.
