This morning Colin Adams looks at the record of God’s supremacy in Daniel chapter 3. This is the account of three young men, Shadrach; Meshach; and Abednego, willing to face the fiery furnace rather than bow down to an idol. But God was there with them in the furnace and rescued them. The point of this chapter, still true today, is made by the pagan King Nebuchadnezzar. It is that the God of the Bible rescues, and the people who follow Him trust Him unto death. This is the second of six gospel chapters written in Aramaic to be legible throughout the entire empire. The introductory first and the prophetic final five are written in his own mother tongue, Hebrew.
