In this, the third, chapter of Esther we are introduced to the enemy. Colin Adams highlights four important features of this enemy.
First, his is a very old enmity, of at least one thousand year’s standing.
Second, he is a proud enemy, demanding recognition.
Third, he is a murderous enemy when he doesn’t get it.
But, lastly, we are given a tiny hint that he is going to be an outwitted enemy
