This morning, Colin Adams continues the series on the Christmas story as recorded by Doctor Luke. He was meticulous in his research to get it right. He interviewed eyewitnesses and recorded the historical setting. This baby, although poor, was born in the royal town of David, Israel’s most famous king. He was born there because he was of that royal line. More than that, he was the divine King of kings and Lord of lords. Yet, he was cradled in a manger because there was no guest accommodation available for him. This story of a monarch in a manger is raw, uncompromising, history. That is why it is still vitally important today.
