Idol feasts and the Lord’s Supper – ‎‎‎1 Corinthians 10v14to22

In this evening’s passage Vic Walker follows Paul’s argument on the incompatibility between the Lord’s Supper and idol feasts.  In the first, we are participating in the body and the blood of Christ.  We are enacting our union with Christ and worshiping Him.  In the Jewish worship the people ate the sacrifices, which had been offered to God.  In doing so, they participated in their union with God as they worshipped Him.  In the same way, those eating food offered in idol feasts were participating in union with the demons the idols represented and worshiping them.  God will not share His worship with demons.
