Easter Sunday Service – John 2v1to18

Easter Sunday Service – John 2v1to18

This morning, Colin Adams looks at three reasons why we can believe in the resurrection. First, the empty tomb, for which Jesus’ enemies could find no convincing explanation. Then, the folded grave cloths. These, and the expensive ointment on them, are what a grave robber would want to take. For them the body would have no value. And, had the disciples stolen the body, they wouldn’t have wasted time taking the grave cloths off and folding them neatly. They would have fled with their burden before they were caught. Finally, the large number of witnesses of the risen Christ who were so convinced that they wouldn’t go back on their witness, even in the face of death.
