Welcome, Announcements and Prayer (John Mowat) plus Update from Jacks in Argentina

Songs: “Abide with me” and “Hear our prayer”

As we open up Psalm 5 we are encouraged to come before God with all our sadness, with all that disturbs us and to pray to him – we cry for help for we recognise our dependence upon the Lord. We come before our God who hears our voice and so we can lay our requests before him. May these 2 songs help us in our prayer for help to God.

Sermon: Psalm 5 with Andy Hunter

Songs: “Though the nations rage (Ancient of Days)” and “Praise my soul, the King of heaven”

We close our look at Psalm 5 and our Summer Psalms series with 2 songs. The first is a song that reminds us that there is one King reigning over all, and we are not to fear but trust in his name, even though we don’t know the future, we are to wait for the Saviour King…then our joy will be complete…

…and the second song helps us end with praise: for for all he has done for us in ransoming, healing, restoring and forgiving us; for his grace and favour and that he is slow to anger and swift to bless; that he knows what we are like: feeble – yet he rescues us from all our foes.
