On Thursdays at Greenview, we gather to pray and to meet in Community Groups. Our prayer meetings and community groups alternate fortnightly during term times.
Our Prayer meetings is a coming together of the whole church to pray. We meet for an hour between 8- 9pm and are given things to pray for. Much of our prayer happens in smaller groups, to make it easier for people to pray. We pray about topics close to home, but also for what is going on in God’s world.
Community Groups are an important part of our church life. They supplement our services and ministries and are key places where we connect and grow together. Community Groups are an effective way for Christians to become more established their faith. Being in closer proximity to each other, they help us mature and equip us to serve others. Community Groups are for members of the church and every church member is automatically assigned to a group. This group is supported by an elder and functions as a kind of pastoral group, where mutual support can be offered. If you’d like to consider some of the reasons to invest in your Community Group, give this a read.
